I’m so, so sorry that you experienced so much loss, pain and trauma; your description of your conversation with your father, the one you have in your head, is so powerful and poignant and honest. It’s very hard to explain to anyone how your mind can forget in order to try & protect you. But running from that pain is so exhausting & destructive and that reckoning will always be waiting.
