I have written a lot about overwhelm.
I regularly feel like I have too much on my plate- like I’ve been to the Harvester buffet bar, and am balancing breadsticks, bacon bits, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, and blue cheese dressing on a plate clutched in one sweaty hand, whilst trying to get on a bus and inform the bus driver of my children’s second names and dates of birth.
Sometimes my brain literally switches off. I am mid sentence and will just make a sound like…mmmmmeeehhhhhh. A flatline feeling, almost like being dead except my heart is beating. There is a wilderness in my brain- one loan wolf walking across a dry and arid landscape before sunset.
