We make ourselves small.
We apologise for our existence.
We think too much about what others think.
We try and please the world around us and don’t pay attention to how we really feel.
All the above was me for along time. The amount of time I spent listening to boring people talk about stuff I wasn’t interested in. The constant effort of trying to think up a story that was entertaining enough to keep them interested but not so weird that they’d judge me. It was exhausting.
